Graduating with a degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2008 at the University of Bologna, he earned his PhD in Mechanics and Advanced Engineering Sciences at the same University in 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor of Space Systems at the Department of Industrial Engineering – University of Bologna, where he serves as the Coordinator of the Ph.D. Program in “Aerospace Science and Technology” (DAST). Additionally, he is the head of the u3S Lab – the Microsatellites and Space Microsystems Laboratory.
His research primarily focuses on small-satellite subsystems, attitude determination and control, and navigation. He has authored more than 80 publications in journals and international conference proceedings.
